Joseph's Going Away Party

We had a surprise going away party for my youngest brother Joseph. He enlisted in the National Guard and leaves for basic training for 17 1/2 weeks on Monday. All of our family was there, along with McKell's brother, wife and kids and some of Joseph's friends. Everyone parked at my house so that he would have no idea. McKell told him that they were going to the movie and Stephanie was babysitting Josee for them.

Joseph is anxious to get it over with and return to his little family. He has been lucky and been able to spend an extra month with his newborn baby Josee, who was born a month early. Had she of been born on her due date he would have only gotten a month to spend with her before leaving. We are all going to miss him and wish him the best of luck!

McKell, Josee, and Joseph. Carrie made this cake. It says, "GI Joe - a real american hero."

When he get got there all the little kids ran up to him yelling his name and gave him a big hug. We have told the kids that he is leaving and they will not see him for a while.

It was a really nice day.

All the little cousins have so much fun playing with each other.

Thanks for all your help in making the party a success! He loved it and it was so fun to get everyone together before he left.
