My Chubby Little Old Man

Nash is going to be 5 weeks old tomorrow. I cannot believe how fast they grow when they are this little. It seems like I just had him. As you can see, he is getting really chubby and has a receding hair line just like an old man. All my kids had a little hair when they were born and then lost it and became bald but Nash is the first to lose it this way. It really makes him look like our little old man. That is what Brett has been calling him. But he is still cute anyway.

More Sick Girls :(

Whytli & Adelie are now sick as well. They started feeling sick yesterday and this is what my house looks like now, I have little girls lying around with fevers, achy bodies and feeling like they are going to throw up. Mallory is still feeling sick and they are all very ornery. Thankfully, I have the best husband ever who stayed home again from work and is taking care of them all. He would rather I take care of Nash and not have to worry much about them so that Nash does not get sick. So we are trying to keep him away from them all as much as possible. Kellye was very kind to let us borrow a bunch of movies for the girls to watch since they do not feel like doing anything but lay around. It is so sad when kids are sick!

Mallory's Hospital Stay (Dehydrated)

This is her back at home now and still not feeling well but getting some sleep. So far we have not been able to get her to drink or eat anything. She is very, very, very ornery right now and does not want to do anything. She is very hard to reason with. If anyone has any suggestions as to reasoning with a 2 1/2 year old I am all ears!

The doctor wanted her to stay there until she could keep her food down. Well for breakfast she did not eat much and for lunch she ate hardly anything either. The last time she had thrown up was a little after midnight and so at around 2:00 pm they let us go home. Just before it was time to go home she said to us as she was crying while they were taking out her IV that "she did not like this place!" She still had a fever but they gave her a suppository to help with that. We are just supposed to make sure she drinks plenty of fluids so she does not get dehydrated again and watch her fever.

She really enjoyed the few presents that her wonderful aunts brought her. This is a picture of her putting on over and over the lipstick from the makeup that Carrie and kids brought her. She has also put it on her forhead as well. We kept telling her that she had enough on and she would say "but it's pretty, do you want some?"

She did have her moments were she was happy. She would be happy one moment and then turn really mean the next and start crying. She called me a couple of times the next morning before I got there crying and wanting me and asking me to take her home. It was so sad!

She finally fell asleep! I did not stay the night with her at the hospital because I have a baby that needs to be nursed but Brett stayed with her. It was really heart breaking to leave her. I did not get very good sleep that night worrying about her.

She was running a fever here.

As you can see she is not too happy to be there! She kept asking us to take the IV out she didn't need it on. She was not too happy about that. She just kept crying saying "oweee!"

Mallory got sick on Sunday with a cold and did not go to church. On Monday she seemed pretty okay just a little ornery but she threw up that night and again in the early morning but then on Tuesday she seemed fine in the morning. I had to go Orem to do a couple of errands and thought she would be fine but just for safe measure I would drape a towel over her and bring a throw-up bowl with us. Those of you who know me well know that I do not do well with kids throwing up (or anyone throwing up for that matter) but I cannot stomach it. Fortunately, Brett has been there every single time our kids have ever thrown up and I have been lucky not to have to be involved in the cleaning up process. Well just as we pulled into the parking lot at the first place to go in Orem, Mallory started breathing heavily and threw up. Luckily for my trusty little throw-up bowl (that my friend Kellye made fun of) she was able to do it all in there. Well I had no mess to clean up I just had to dump that stuff in the parking lot and I did wipe the bowl down with some wipes (with a little gagging involved but I survived). Well, we went to do one more errand and she seemed okay for a bit but when I got home she was starting to get really ornery and so I decided to call Brett and make him come home. I could not handle having to risk cleaning up any throw up. The good husband that he is, he came right home and was right there on the couch with her hanging out. We made her a doctor appointment because she was not holding anything down (not even water) and long story short at the doctors office they determined that she was dehydrated and we needed to take her to the hospital for a night stay. They hooked her up to an IV to get fluid in her and help her since she could not keep anything down. It was not the funnest thing ever and it is so hard because she is so little and didn't really understand why she was there.

Spring Break Fun!

Since we didn't have to worry about getting ready early for school we actually had time to straighten Whytli's hair and boy did she love it! She hates her natural curly hair and wishes for straight hair. At school she is the envy of all her friends with her curly hair and yet she still hates it. In fact, she was so excited to have it straight she was having one of her school friends over to play she just could not wait to show her the wonderful surprise of her straight hair. I guess none of us are happy with the hair that we have.

The kids enjoyed sleeping on the floor in the playroom every night of spring break watching a movie until they fell asleep. Now the problem is they still want to do it every night. Especially, Mallory it is hard to convince her it is time to sleep in her own bed. And my kids can be quite the night owls and stay up really late!

The kids enjoyed their spring break I think by going to the park on 3 seperate occasions (when the weather was good) but I have to admit I wasn't very good at taking pictures. Like I have said I am new at the blogging thing but I mainly wanted to do it so I could have a journal of some sort with pictures but my problem is that I forget to take the pictures. So I took my camera and got pictures once of them eating at the park and thought I would get more of them playing when they were finished but forgot, of course. Luckily, my friend Dani sent me some pictures she got of Mallory on the swings. All of the other times at the park I just completely forgot to take any pictures at all. My kids really did play and had alot of fun, I just don't have the pictures to prove it. So, I hope to get better at this and take more pictures. Poor Nash is 4 weeks now and I have hardly taken any pictures of him at all and this is the time they are changing so much!

Some More Cute Pictures!

My friend Kellye took a bunch of pictures of Nash when he was 2 weeks old so these are a couple examples of some she took. We took them because the professional ones I got of him were mostly with him naked and Brett is not a fan of the "naked baby" pictures so I thought I would get a few of him fully clothed to make him happy. They turned out pretty cute too!

Welcome our newest addition!

I decided not to send out birth announcements so I will just post them on my blog. By the time I got them he was 2 weeks old so I figured most everyone knew I had him already. So these were my few options of birth announcments that you can look at here. My delivery was very easy as always and I am so happy to have him here. He is almost 4 weeks old now and we are so blessed to have such a good baby! He is so mellow and hardly ever cries. He doesn't like his diaper changed so that is one of the only times that you really hear a good cry out of him. It is so different having a boy, but I totally love it. It is so not what I imagined it to be, but he is so special and we love him very much!! I know some of you were worried I would not like having a boy but I definately do and I wouldn't trade him for a girl, so no worries! :) The girls love him too and just love to hold him and help out alot. Brett just cannot wait to have a little buddy to watch sports center with. He already is training him and props him up in front of the tv to watch it with him. He says you have to start at a young age. If you would like to see some more pictures that the photographer took of Nash click on this link: http://www.sarahwardphoto.blogspot.com/
and scroll to the pictures of the girls and then Baby Nash.

Aunt Lacey's Renaissance Photography

Lacey called me yesterday and asked if she could come get the girls and take some different pictures of them. She wanted them to bring their dress up clothes. I told her that their hair was messy cause we had been to the park all day but she said that was okay that was how she wanted them to look and she did not want them to match their play clothes either. So these are the pictures that she took. They are very original but fun and the kids had a good time taking them. Brett is a big fan of them he thinks they are very different but very original!

My Cute Family

Nash is my youngest and newest addition and he is only 3 1/2 weeks old

Mallory is my third child who is 2 1/2 years old

Adelie is my second oldest and she will be 5 in May

Whytli is my oldest and she is 7 1/2 years old

I am new to this whole blogging thing but I have wanted to do a blog forever but just have not ever gotten around to it. So it may not be all that cute at first but hopefully I will get the hang of it and can make myself a fun new little cute blog that everyone can look at and see what is going on in our lives. Shannon has been great and helped me a little to get started and I am sure I will have many more questions as I go.

My Adorable Kids!
