Dance Recital

The girls had their dance recital tonight at the Steven Covey Arts Center in Provo. They all did really well. It was so fun to watch them all, especially the little ones (Mallory's class) - they are so darn cute. They just all kind of did their own thing. We had to sit through both the junior and senior show since Adelie & Mallory were in the junior and Whytli was in the senior. It was pure torture for Brett (except when he got to see his girls). It was great to see what they have been working on all year. It was really hard to take any pictures during the show because it was so dark but Brett got some video from our camera.

These are the dance pictures from this year with their individual classes.

Adelie is Six!

Today was Adelie's birthday and she turned six. She was so excited for today she could hardly stand it (I love the excitement kids get for their birthdays and holidays). She had a fun-filled day. In the morning she requested her favorite eggs (scrambled), toast, and chocolate milk. So that morning Brett got up and fixed her breakfast. After she was done eating she opened her gifts from us - all except for her biggest gift. She got a bunch of swimming toys, lip gloss and fingernail polish, pajamas, and fake nails. I think the fake nails were her most favorite gift of all. Whytli was really cute and wrapped her up a gift that she made by herself. She did a cute little card and gathered some random things from her room and gave them to her. I threw in a new jump rope so it looked like she had something new as well. I can't believe she is already six! She has gotten so big and I want her to know that I love her and hope she had a wonderful 6th birthday!

Brett serving the scrambled eggs. He is the breakfast maker in our house since I am not a huge fan of breakfast and he and the kids are.

I've never seen such a big smile when she opened her fake nails. She has always talked about how she would love to have long beautiful nails so I thought it would be fun for her to get fake nails to put on for her birthday. Luckily the package came with 40 nails so being the kind sister she is, she let Whytli wear some too. I didn't get a picture of them wearing them but they sure did love them!

Later that afternoon I took the girls to get their toenails painted. They sure thought that was fun.

Mallory was so little her feet couldn't even touch.
Everyone at the salon thought they were all so cute!

The finished product! Don't they look beautiful?

Afterward I got them kids meals at Wendys and we went to my moms in her back yard and ate it there. The kids played with their cousins for a while.

Sooo pooped after such a full day! They all sat down for a moment while we were waiting for Brett to come home to go do some more stuff and they all fell asleep on the couch. When Brett got home we took Adelie to pick out her big gift which was a brand new bike. She had a hard time deciding but we finally narrowed it down to one. I didn't get a picture of her new bike but she sure loves it!

After we got the bike we headed to Two Jacks for pizza (per Adelie's request) and then to Macey's for ice cream (also her request).

After dinner we went to look at a couple of houses (since our house is up for sale) and she wasn't too excited about that. But when we got home they went for a bike ride and she had fun riding on her new bike. Then when the day was finally over she said to us, "this was the best birthday ever - even if we had to go look at houses!" We thought that was pretty funny.

Birthday Party with the Rogers Family

Today we celebrated Adelie's birthday with Brett's family. Adelie requested hot fudge cake with ice cream, so I made that for her. She got some fun gifts - a Hannah Montana Barbie set from Joel, LeeAnn, and Colten & Melissa. From Lacey and Kellen she got a purse with a bunch of accessories, including some funky sunglasses. Robi and Spencer got her a Razor scooter. She loves hanging out with her cousins on the Rogers side.

They were very anxious to light the candles and blow them out.

Gwyn got in on the action.

She really knows how to pose.

Our House is for Sale

We have decided to sell our house. If we don't end up selling it then that is fine, we are happy where we are (because of our awesome neighbors!) and really love the ward as well.

If you know of anyone who might be interested have them give me a call. Our house is newly remodeled (only 1 year ago) and has tons of custom features.

Also, for more info and tons of pictures you can go to our website:

Brett made our website and did a really good job. If anyone is selling their own home he is up for hire if interested and can make one for you too.

Kindergarten Graduation for Adelie

Today Adelie graduated from Kindergarten. They had the cutest little program for the parents that all the kids participated in. Adelie was a soldier and had to wear camouflage. It was too dark to get any decent pictures of her program but she did a great job. She had the best teacher - Mrs. Montgomery - whom we loved very much. I can't believe she is already done with this year and is moving on to 1st grade next year. It is amazing to me the things that they teach the kids now in kindergarten. She has learned so much and had a great year.

This is her graduation picture.

Adelie & Adriana's Birthday Party

Adelie and Adriana were born only six days apart and so Stephanie and I always have their birthday parties together. This year we had them invite friends from school and had a swimming/pizza party. We put up a Slip-n-Slide and a sprinkler to run through. The weather turned out perfect and they had a great time with all their friends. I heard a couple of the kids say it was the funnest party ever! I love that kids please so easily cause we hardly had to do anything for them to have a good time.

These are the invitations I had made up for them to give to their friends. They turned out really cute.

The two birthday girls. I love that my kids have their cousins as some of their best friends.

The whole group of kids together

Adelie invited 4 friends from school and one of her friends from the neighborhood. Two of her friends from school could not come. But I think it worked out because these are the friends that she likes the most. Maisey, Ellie and Tyme.

Adriana with her friends. She invited 6 friends and only 1 could not make it.

Everyone kept holding hands and running through together.

Gift time!

Slip-n-Slide time! They really had fun on this.

Every time it was someone's turn all the kids would chant that person's name for them to go. It made it even better to go!
